Treatment of a metabolic liver disease in mice with a transient prime editing approach

A new study showcases a breakthrough in treating phenylketonuria (PKU) using transient prime editing delivered via mRNA lipid nanoparticles. This promising approach, developed by an international team led by the University of Zurich, could overcome the limitations of current gene-editing methods by targeting the broad range of PAH mutations.
